An artisanal, locally produced knitwear collection that speaks of the beautiful qualities of mohair, the incredible craftspeople of South Africa and sustainable fashion design through slow and mindful processing. Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of the Karoo, we pay tribute to our land, the farmers, our Angora goats, traditional handcrafting skills and longstanding friendships.
These are garments that are created to inspire, to be looked after, worn with confidence and passed down through generations.
South Africa, and more specifically the Karoo, is home to the world’s mohair production. The textures, palette and clean silhouettes of this collection is inspired by the unique energy, landscapes and flora of the Karoo. The garments were produced by skilled, traditional artisans in the Eastern Cape specializing in hand-spun and hand-dyed yarn. Each piece is hand-knitted and rich in character, telling the unique story of the maker and the origins of its thread
